Kaw
Valley Chapter member Paul
Root is the lead singer for Sierra Band. His uncle was "Banjo
Bob" Simpson who was one of the first members of the KOFPS way back
when... Paul's mom was Veda Root (Tice), married Paul Tice who
was a president of the Tecumseh Chapter back in the 70s. Paul got
his start performing at Tecumseh, La Harpe and Blue Mound back
in the early 70s when he was 7 years old. Other
band members are: Danney
Williams, Lead Guitar and Steel Guitar... Bill Allen, Fiddle and
Keyboards... Stan Tichenor, Electric Guitar and Vocals... Gary Tichenor,
Electric Bass and Stand-Up Bass... Tom Barnes, Drums and Vocals |
This chapter was formed in October 1983 when members from
the Northeast Chapter moved away from Tecumseh.
